1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ReceiptMake ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

2. Permitted Use

ReceiptMake is designed for legitimate purposes including but not limited to:

• Personal expense tracking and record keeping
• Business documentation and accounting
• Educational and demonstration purposes
• Creative projects and design mockups
• Template customization for legitimate business use

3. User-Generated Content & Intellectual Property

ReceiptMake does not create, design, or endorse any specific receipt templates. All receipts, including logos, business names, and other elements, are created and customized by users.

• Users are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to use any logos, trademarks, or brand elements they upload.
• ReceiptMake does not claim ownership over any user-generated content.
• We are not liable for any copyright infringement resulting from user-generated receipts.

If you believe that a receipt created by a user violates intellectual property rights, please contact us at angelustrio94@gmail.com, and we will investigate the claim.

4. Prohibited Activities

You expressly agree NOT to use ReceiptMake for any illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes, including but not limited to:

• Creating fake receipts for fraudulent insurance claims
• Generating false receipts for tax evasion or fraud
• Producing counterfeit receipts for refund fraud
• Creating receipts to deceive employers, partners, or family members
• Any other illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activity

5. Storage & Use of Generated Receipts

By using ReceiptMake, you acknowledge and agree to the following regarding receipt storage:

• Generated receipts may be stored on our servers for operational purposes and to provide service examples to other users.
• We do not associate stored receipts with personal data or identifiable user information.
• Stored receipts are not sold or distributed beyond our internal operations and user education purposes.
• If you do not wish for your receipts to be stored, please contact us at angelustrio94@gmail.com to request removal.

6. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The content you create using our service
• How you use the receipts generated
• Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws
• Any consequences resulting from misuse of the Service

6.1 Output Encoding and Anti-Forgery Measures

To prevent misuse and protect against forgery, all receipts generated by ReceiptMake include embedded security markers:

• PDF Files: All generated PDFs contain a watermark at the bottom indicating "FAKE RECEIPT" to clearly mark them as mockups.
• PNG Files: All PNG images contain encoded metadata visible in file properties that identify them as computer-generated and non-authentic documents. This encoding helps detect forgery attempts.
• Intentional Design Differences: Receipt templates are intentionally designed with non-standard spacing and layout variations that deviate from real-world receipts. These deliberate differences make generated receipts more easily detectable as mockups and serve as an additional anti-forgery measure.

By using ReceiptMake, you acknowledge that:

• These receipts are mockups and templates for legitimate use only (business documentation, design mockups, expense tracking)
• You will not attempt to remove, alter, or circumvent the anti-forgery watermarks and metadata
• You understand these files are not valid financial or legal documents and should never be presented as authentic transaction records
• Any attempt to use these files fraudulently is illegal and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

7. Account Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
• Requests by law enforcement or government agencies

8. Subscription and Payment

Paid subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

8.1 Refund Policy

Weekly & Monthly Plans: You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not generated more than 5 receipts. Refunds requested after 7 days or for active users are at our discretion.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ReceiptMake and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

ReceiptMake shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service. We are not responsible for any legal consequences resulting from misuse of the Service.

12. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and may disclose user information when required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or comply with legal processes.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
